Caleidra, the teenage singer/songwriter from Manchester who leapt to fame after a song she wrote for her GCSE music led to her being signed to a record label and appearances on national TV has decided to use her real name Naomi after performing to over 16,000 fans on her recent UK tour.
This is what Naomi had to say:
During my recent tour, many people said I should use my real name and the more I thought about it, the more I agreed. Now I’m 18, I feel like I’m entering a new moment in my life and embarking on a new and exciting future writing and recording my first album, working with A&G Songs as my new publisher and some great known producers and co-writers in the music industry.
Because of this, I’ve decided to use my real name ‘Naomi’ going forwards instead of ‘Caleidra’.
You’ll see things like my website and social media changing over the next few weeks to reflect this.
I’m so excited for you to hear the new music I’m writing and recording and I’m really grateful for your incredible support as this new chapter opens and we move forward on this amazing journey together.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, I love you all 🙂 x
